Ground first, then move north

Northground is a therapeutic space that celebrates different ways of being and supports people navigating the complexities of life - from neurodivergence and burnout, POTs and other chronic illnesses, hormonal shifts, and workplace pressures.

About Me.

I’m Sandy, the Clinical Director and psychologist behind Northground.

My work is shaped by both professional expertise and lived experience and I am passionate about supporting people through burnout, chronic illness, work pressures and exploring the light and shadow sides of being neurodivergent.

I believe knowledge, safety and connection are the foundations of meaningful change.

How we can help.

We know how exhausting and lonely it can feel to live with chronic illness, burnout, or late-identified neurodivergence. The advice we’re often given - lower your stress, sleep more, exercise, eat better, delegate at home and work, meditate, use planners - can feel impossible when you’re already cooked. The mere thought of self-care, nauseating.

We get it. Your nervous system gets it, too. Even the thought of taking a small step can set off alarm bells in your body.

This is why our approach is different.

At Northground, we support adults seeking therapeutic intervention for a range of mental health and well-being needs including:

  • ADHD, Autism, AuDHD

    • support that honours your wiring and helps you navigate life with calm and clarity
